Halloween

We've lived in this house for almost 24 years and can count on one hand how many trick-or-treaters we've had here. I'm not counting family, just the random kid that will knock on the door. So needless to say, I don't buy alot of candy. I do buy a little to keep on hand just in case one happens to show up. One year I wasn't expecting anyone and friends of ours happened to stop (I thought they wouldn't come that year because they were getting older) well, I had nothing trick or treaty in the house so I had to give them granola bars, the healthy kind not the good ones that kind of taste like candy. They probably threw them out first!

Last night we spent the night at Jeanine and Chris' house and helped them hand out treats. The night started out a little slow, but after about an hour all the little (and some not so little) ones came out. They were so cute! We had one little girl come up and while we were commenting on how cute her outfit was, she pipes up and says "um, can I have some candy?" We cracked up, her mom says "well, nothing like getting to the point." Jeanine had about 230 treats, and they were all gone except for about 10. I had a great time watching all the kids have fun!

Well, off to shower and get ready for church. Then it's Walmart and figuring out what to have for supper. Have a great day!
