Nice Visit
It is was a very rainy morning here today. What ordinarily would have been a busy Sunday at the G.C. has now become a lazy day. I had planned on being at work early this a.m. but the weather changed that. Larry mentioned going for a ride and looking for windows. Our son is building a house this summer, so this would be a good day for that. I was talking to Sandi on the phone and even asked her what I should do......You see, I thought that since it was a rainy day, that I would get the opportunity to go to church. (that doesn't happen very often in the summer) so I had the dilema of spending time alone with my husband (which also doesn't happen very often) or going to church. Sandi tells me that I have to spend time with Larry because we don't spend time together as a couple, it's more like co-workers. So I think to myself, yeah she's right. I'll go window shopping. In the meantime Larry had to go down to the shop and do a few things before we went anywhere. I called Sandi back and told her that I had a little gift bag that her friend Judy had left at Curves for me to give to Sandi. Judy wasn't able to give it to her personally because she's down in New Orleans on a mission trip to help rebuild homes that were lost during Katrina. So I tell Sandi that when she's out and about today, to just stop in and pick it up. I was going to leave it on my kitchen table and she could run in and get it. She says that she'd rather come and get it while I was home. So the next thing I know we get to have the nicest visit. I've been missing her something fierce lately. She's been extremely busy at her work and with her kids, and I've been extrememly busy at my work. We went from seeing each other a few times a week and talking on the phone all the time to hardly talking to each other at all. It was like a cold-turkey withdrawal for me! LOL. She asks me what time Larry and I were leaving. I said I wasn't sure and that if he didn't get home before 10:45 I was going to church. The next thing I know it's 10:38 on my clock and Sandi says, "Oh no, look at the time. I screwed you up if you wanted to go to church" . Well, at this point in time I'm still in my pj's and my hair isn't done, so I ended up not going and having the bestest visit with my bestest friend, and I don't think God will be too mad at me!!!
