Hahahahaha................Sandi I'm beating you to the punch! :~)
A few weeks back, Sandi mentioned that I ought to go to a track "game" to see Katie and Corey. I said that I would love to go to a track MEET someday. I just never know when they are. She procedes to tell me all about how track meets work. I guess because in Sandi's eyes if she hasn't told you about things, you probably don't know anything about them. ;~} I mentionted that I know a little about track because I used to stat for meets when I was in school. Back in the dark ages, girls didn't run track at our school so I used to go watch and then got recruited to help. So yesterday, Sandi, Megan and I went to Derry for the meet. My brother is a track coach for Derry and my nephew is one for Saltsburg, so I figured what better opportunity to go see everybody in action at one time. Now, yesterday wasn't an awful day weather wise. It was a little windy so that made it seem colder. When Megan and I went to pick Sandi up, we started giggling because it looked like Sandi was packing for the North pole. So we did tease her a little ('cause that's what we like to do). When we got there Sandi said you'll be happy that I brought these blankets. I said that I wasn't cold and that it was 55 degrees. She says "you just wait, it'll get worse, when's the last time you went to a track meet anyway"? I answer in all honesty..........1979.................You should have seen Sandi and Megan! They were practically crying with laughter. For some reason they thought that was funny..................I guess when you think about it, it kind of is. So anyway, we stayed for a good while, until Katie did one of her events, by that time it was really getting cold, and I had to "eat crow" and admit that I was cold.
So that was my latest adventure with my friend. She has more tests this afternoon at the hosptal. Which I'm glad about. Hopefully they can get to the bottom of what's going on with her. Yesterday she seemed to be feeling better. Let's hope that continues!
I'm off to Pgh. to see Jeanine today. Megan is coming with me. I think we're going to hit Trader Joe's at some point. I need me some of those yummy honey sesame almonds.....yum!
