Long Day

That's what yesterday was. My aunt was having major surgery and my cousins and Sandi and I spent the day at the hospital. Her surgery lasted almost 4 hours, and then she was in recovery for another 4 and a half hours. The doc said that she came throught it pretty well, although she lost some blood, but he said she is a tough old bird and that she should be good. She is going to be 82 next month. She finally got up to her room at 6:30 and we got a chance to see her before we left. She looked surprisingly good. Totally and completely asleep, but she did open her eyes a couple of times so we were happy about that.

We spent the day in the surgery waiting room. There was this one family that the only thing I can say about them is YOI!!! What PIA's. They were the rudest, loudest, dirtiest,.........I can't think of anything else to describe them. Let's just say that it wasn't pleasant spending the day in that room with them. They made a long and hard day seem even longer and harder. We felt bad for the cleaning people who had to clean up after them. We even joked that we were going to leave a note saying it wasn't us, as we were the last ones to leave the room last evening.

Well, today I'm going to curves early to get my third workout in and then back to work for a few hours and then I'm doing a walk for a cure. It's a 2 mile walk and I managed to get $127 in sponsors. So I guess I'd better get started. Love to the GG's. Bye!
