Tribute day

I know that Kim did her tributes on Tribute Tuesday, but I'm going to do mine on Monday. Sandi, it's your turn!

We were at Sandi's yesterday for a little party for Bill to congratulate him for becoming an official PA Constable.(Yay Bill!!) There were already a few people there when we got there. We're all sitting around visiting with each other and I noticed Sandi's ex (my cousin) was there. Sandi and Bill and Al all get along really well, and it's impressive to sit there and watch how these three people handle a non traditional family. It's a wonderful thing to see. I give SO much credit to Sandi for making it possible for her kids to be comfortable with what could be a very uncomfortable situation. She has always put her kids first in everything that she does. Family is so important to her. She made it so easy for everyone, even when times were tough, she always seemed to be able to handle situations for the best. It wasn't always easy, believe me. There were times when I would say, "your're being TOO nice" and she would just say "I have to think about the kids sake".............That's unconditional love in a big way!!! She was doing this even before she and Bill became Sandi & Bill. And speaking of Bill, I just love that guy. He has been 100% involved with the kids since day 1. There are so many instances I could give you about his unselfishness. I wouldn't have time to put them all down. But the best example I could give you is that when Sandi and Bill got married and wanted to go away for a few days honeymoon, he didn't want to leave the kids behind and they went as a FAMILY. Now, how many men do you know that would do something like that???? It's such a blessing to be involved with a family like this, and I thank God for allowing me to be apart of it. I love them all to pieces!!!!..............alright, enough of the mushy stuff, it's usually not my style! LOL

Hey Kim, I had so much fun visiting with you this weekend. We're going to have to try to not let so much time pass between visits! You look absolutly wonderful! Keep up the good work!!

Okay, time to get moving. I have GOT to clean my house today. It looks like a tornado went through it. Maybe I should pull a Maxine, and just put out the get well cards. Huh, Patti??
I also need to get some flowers for my dad's grave. Today it's been 21 years since his passing. It's hard to believe he's been gone that long. Sometimes it seems like forever and sometime it's like it just happened. I miss him terribly. He would be so happy to know that he's a great-grandpa..............................but I bet he knew before me.

Thanks Chris! I had a great time, too! And as for what you said about Bill and Sandi and the kids, I couldn't agree more. They are a blessing in my life all the way around.

Love ya!
