Smicksburg

I had a wonderful day yesterday visiting with Megan's Mom Sandy. Her mom and dad are up from Alabama for Easter. We went to Smicksburg for the afternoon. There were five of us all together. Me, Sandi, Megan, Sandy, and Megan's sister Jodie spent the day looking around in the shops, tasting fudge, buying fudge, and generally making fun of each other. We ate at Thee Village Eating House. I had my usual Portabella Mushroom sandwhich. I love it. There was a guy there playing the guitar and singing. He was really good, and I think Sandi fell in love with him a little bit. ;~) We were sitting kind of close to where he was and he could hear us talking about different songs, and next thing you knew, he was playing it!

We were supposed to get a major snow storm in the area today. Well, so far we have a little more than a dusting and it doesn't look like we'll be getting too much more. Believe it or not, I'm kind of glad about that. Those that know me know that I LOVE a good snow storm, but I have plans for my neices to come over today and work on a memory book that we're putting together for my mom's birthday party next Sunday, so I'm happy that the weather is cooperating so that we can get together and get it done today.

I'm off to start making stuff to take to my Mom's for dinner tomorrow. I'm making deviled eggs and a 7 layer salad. I also want to make something yummy for the girls today. Jeanine told me about a coke cake recipe. You take a cake mix and add a can of coke and bake it. What could be easier? I'm not sure how it works. I'm going to have to call her and ask if you put eggs in it. Seems to me there should be eggs...............but what do I know.

I wish everyone a very happy and blessed Easter. Kellie, thanks for the continued updates on Nate. I'm praying for him and you and Mark and your family everyday. I just know that things are soon to get better. Hang in there!!

Happy Easter, Chris! Silly weather! Sandi told me you were concerned about me traveling. I appreciate that! The way it looks now I probably could have gone, but I hate taking chances.

Have fun!
Love ya!

That sounds like the place we ate lunch with the guy playing the guitar eavesdropping and playing what we were talking about.
I don't know if we were in Smicksburg though.
Happy Easter to you too.

Hi Patti! That's where we were. I was wondering if it was the same place, too.
