Where To Begin........

Let's start by saying that Andrew looks incredible. He is healing nicely from his surgery, slowly but surely. I feel so bad for him. I can't imagine what he must be feeling not being able to talk or chew or eat. I'm sure he's getting kind of tired of shakes and drinks. Sandi said he's already lost 13 pounds since Wednesday. I wish he would have put on some weight prior to surgery, but I'm sure he'll bounce back once he's able to start eating a little something. I pray so anyway.

I had such a nice weekend. Patti and Sandi and I went to A-Town (Smicksburg) on Saturday after a 5 mile walk uphill both ways! We went to Thee Village Eating House and I had a very good Turkey Reuben and sweet potatoe fries. It's soooo goooood. It's my favorite thing there. I really should try something else next time, but I think they make the best Reuben's there. We went to a cheese house where Sandi bought some really good cheese, with the exception of the horseradish cheese, that I wouldn't even go near. She loves it though.........to each their own! On the way home, we stopped at a little store that has alot of bulk baking supplies and such, there were two young amish boys selling homebaked breads, pies, cookies, etc. I don't know why but I assumed that anything amish must be really good, but I wouldn't recommend the blueberry pie they sold Sandi. The little kids were so cute, how can you not buy something off of them........lesson learned. It's just like when Patti said that when she was in Tijuana, they use all the little kids to sell things because no one can resist a kid. Speaking of Tijuana, Jeanine went there once while visiting California and she said it was the most depressing place ever. I mentioned what Jeanine said about it to a my old hairdresser, and he said "that if God wanted to give the world an enema, he would put the hose in Tijuana!" LOL.....It just doesn't sound like my kind of place.

But I digress. Back to the weekend. We came home from A-Town and were treated to Bill's Boogie-Man wings. Delish. Sunday we went to Johns for our workout, after which I went down to the old clubhouse to bake cookies for my neice's upcoming wedding and Patti and Sandi came down to help. Megan and Paige came and we all had fun baking and playing with Paige. Next was Patti's delicious lemon chicken, mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. Really, really good. I'm definitely making that myself some night. We had blueberry pie that I baked for Bill, 'cause I felt bad that he didn't like the amish one. Not that mine was better, I'm just sayin'............(hi Sandi). Today was another morning of coffee on Sandi's porch and I came home to do a few things and then it was off to the airport. Patti and I decided to go a little early and get a bite to eat for lunch. I thought we'd eat in Monroeville because it's halfway to the airport. I gave Patti a few options and then I remembered a place that I thought was called "Frank and Erma's. Patti thought that was a good place to go, so as I'm driving there I say "Oh Patti, did I way Frank and Erma's? I meant Ralph and Erma's. Patti says, Frank, Ralph, whatever. As we pull up the the restaurant, we see the sign and we both bust out laughing........the place is called Max and Erma's!!! OMG, how funny. Patti goes, well that Erma must get around! At this point I'm laughing so hard that I miss Sandi and wish she was there with us, 'cause I'm sure I'd have never lived that one down! And to top it all off, as I was driving home I kept trying to rack my brain as to why Ralph and Erma sounded so familiar to me...........turns out the are the names of my SIL's mom and dad! Hahahaha, I'm such a tard!!

Well, I'm outta here. It feels like I've written a novel. To recap the weekend: I had fun, I didn't cook, and I laughed alot!!!

Oh Kellie,
I just hate, hate, hate horseradish. I won't even eat cocktail sauce. I never even knew about horseradish until I met Larry.
