Hope everyone had a beautiful Easter. Ours was wonderful. We got together down at the old clubouse and had alot of good food and laughter. My neice Gina brought a game that was sooo much fun to play. My stomach hurt worse from laughing than from the crunches I do! We are so blessed to have our family all so close together, not only in living close to each other, but in being a close knit family. My brother recently had a visit from an old friend of his and he was telling him that he doesn't speak to any of his brothers or sisters. I can't even comprehend that. I can't imagine going through life and not talking to my brothers, and their wives are like sisters to me. How lucky am I!!!!! Damn lucky if you ask me!!!!
Saturday we had my neice Michelle's bridal shower at the clubouse. Everything was so nice. They had an Italian theme and it was decorated with grapevines and the place settings and tableclothes were all "Italiany"(?) The food was great. I think my favorite was the "horse d' vooors" table. They had many different cheeses and salami and pepperoni and olives with really good bread from an Italian store near here. That's about all I ate. They also had homeade wedding soup and penne w/ meatballs and polenta with chicken sauce and salads and jello salads. One lady said to me that it was more like a wedding than a shower. I guess that's just the way we "Italiany" people do it!!! Jeanine and Gina made homeade biscotti for the favors and Karen my sil ordered small bottles of wine for favors as well. I thought they were going to be little teeny bottles like I've seen at other weddings, but these were half size bottles! The wine is really good and it comes from a local winery near here. Hey, Patti........maybe a trip to the winery is in order for your visit.........something to think about.
Last Sunday Paige was baptised. OMG, was she the most gorgeous baby ever in a baptism dress!!! She was so good throughout the whole service. Pastor Tom did such a wonderful job with her. She kept holding onto his ear and he was making jokes about it. Too cute! We had a little party afterward down at the clubhouse. It's funny, when we were working full time down there, and some type of party was being planned (with the exception of the bigger events) I never wanted to have anything down there. It always seemed to me like I was at work. I guess when you spend seven days a week at a place, the last thing you want to do is hang out there too. But having Easter there this year was sort of nice. You could spread out and have plenty of room and I didn't have to worry about cramming everyone into my house.
Well. now that all the parties are over for now, I guess I'd better get back into some sort of routine. I'm still busy with paperwork for Larry's business and I have alot of plans for my house this spring. I'd like to start pulling off some wall paper and repaint the walls. I also need to get the carpets cleaned and do some major yard work. I haven't really done anything in our yard for 18 years. Larry just kept it mowed, but it really needs some attention. Larry also plowed a garden. We usually find a little spot to plant tomatoes and peppers for when I can spaghetti sauce, but this year we wanted to plant a little more. Well, if you could see the size of the garden he plowed...........let's just say, I'm gonna be quite busy this summer and fall. I do plan on canning and freezing more this year since I'll have more time, but the sheer size of the thing is mind boggling!
Off to the post office and then I'm coming home to read a book. TTFN!!

I'm glad you had a nice Easter and are enjoying your beautiful clubhouse (now that it's not work).
