Drew's appt.

Went to Pgh. today for what we hoped was Drew's last appt. It seems he's had a little regression though, so he has to go back in a month to six weeks. Nothing major from what Sandi said maybe too much school work. So he still has to do the half days at school for a while. That would have been an answer to my prayers as a 16 year old. I wasn't much for school. I more or less liked the socializing aspect of it! After the appt. we went to Fatheads for lunch. It's just down the road from Drew's doctor. We ended up getting there at about 10:45, which I know is a little early for lunch, but we were starving since none of had eaten breakfast and from what Andrew told me, he hadn't had a hot meal in over 12 hours. It seems nobody in his family feeds the poor thing!!! Anyway, we walk up to the front of the restaurant and the bar lights are on in the windows and the door is unlocked, so I assumed they were open. We walk in and the hostess said that they really didn't open till 11:00. Sandi and I look at each other like well, couldn't we just sit and wait the few minutes until the kitchen opened?!? I mean, what kind of HOSTESS is that and why was the door unlocked and why were the lights on?????........ O.K. done with that rant.........
We did have a very delicious lunch. Sandi and Andrew got burgers and I had a sandwhich called the Big Easy, it was some kind of variation of a New Oreleans Muffeletta. It was the biggest thing I ever saw. I could barely eat half of it, the rest is in my fridge. That'll probably be Larry's supper cause I don't think I will be having dinner tonight!

Now I do know my way around the city a little bit, but I didn't exactly know how to get from the Southside to where Trader Joe's is. Sandi took her "Lola" (gps) but it wouldn't recognize Trader Joe's address. I mean what's the point of a gps system if it doesn't know where stuff is. Needless to say, I did manage to get us a little teensy bit lost. LOL It took me almost a whole hour to find it (with the help of Sandi calling my daughter for a little directional instructions). I had so much fun though, I like driving around and getting messed up and trying to figure out where I am. I do think Sandi was a bit nervous from all the sighing going on in the back seat. (she was alone back there so I know it was just nerves). Well, we finally made it, got all our goodies and made it safely home. All in all it was a very good day!!!

OMG this is too funny ! I was about to close this post when I get a phone call. And who could it possibly have been? Why, I'll tell you. It was my good friend and neighbor Mrs. Blystone. She was calling to tell me that she was having a delicious pot of ginger tea. She had been coughing most of the way home so she thought that might soothe her throat a little. She said it was very good and a little spicy. I said that if it was me I would have spiked it. She said "I did" (so I paused to think, 'cause I don't think there would be anything in Sandi house to decently spike anything!) and she procedes to say "I poked it in and out and in and out" I was kinda laughing at that and she goes "You know what I mean, what's that called? Oh yeah, steeping"!
Oh man, only Sandi..........................

Alright, I'm really done posting this time. Hey, have any of you noticed that I tend to blog a lot more and be a bit more interesting when I've spent the day with my good friend?........Yeah, me too!!

OMG too funny! Sounds like Sandi needs "instructions and dictionary for Tea lovers" Hummm I do wonder if there is something like that. Like a tea guide telling what all teas are and so on.
Oh well! Glad you all had a good day. I have learned with the brain you can never count on it behaving like you want. There is no schedule for healing. Drew is such a lucky young man to have parents like he has. It would kill your heart to see kids in the hospital with no one visiting them and caring about them.
Geesh OK I wrote a book myself. Take care and get that girl to the Dr.!

She has an appointment tomorrow at 1:00. She called from the car today. You should hear her wheezing! She says she doesn't even hear it so she didn't think it was that bad! I can hear it and it is that bad!!

I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure that spiking your tea IS NOT Kosher.
