It was a week of nothing but doctor appointments. Not for me, but for my Mom and Art. Art has been having some serious low back and leg pain for a little while now. He finally got an appointment with a neurosurgeon yesterday and the doctor said that he would like to start out trying a series of three injections to help with the inflammation. He has alot of arthritis and a cyst from where his discs are bulging. The fluid between the discs is pushing out and causing the cyst. I hope that the injections work and that he won't have to have any surgery!
Megan and I took Paige to her pediatrician on Tuesday. Michael and Megan (along with Sandi) have been telling me for the last four months how good looking Dr. J. is. Everytime I went to the doctor with Megan, the other Dr. J. was there. There is a Mr. Dr. J. and a Mrs. Dr. J. in the practice. So I finally get to see the Mr. Dr. J. and let me tell you, they weren't kidding about his looks. I had been hearing nothing but how beautiful this man's eyes are and how wonderful he smells. (I know, sounds weird). He comes in to the exam room and I immediatley got lost in his eyes. I've never seen the color before. I can't even describe them. He is of Indian descent and he has the lightest eyes. It's really very striking. He also has this incredible head of hair that I just couldn't keep my eyes off of. Then, not to mention his aroma............I don't know what he wears for cologne, but it's something else!!! He had to leave the room for a minute, and I looked over at Megan and she started cracking up, 'cause I was following him with my nostrils. (I'm reading this and thinking that I'm a real crackpot) I just can't find a way to really explain myself here. Anyway, Paige was due to get a shot and the doctor mentioned that Megan could give her baby tylenol for any fever that she might get. He then finishes his exam all the while saying what a beautiful baby Paige is (which by the way, gives him another point in my book) and then he leaves. Megan and I look at each other and she says, "how much Tylenol did he say to give her?" I say, "I think he said 0.4 mg." Megan says, "I thought he said 0.8 mg.", I said, "maybe it's 4.8 or 8.4".......................neither one of us could remember. Megan says it's because when he's in the room you can't concentrate because he's doing some kind of "mo-jo" (Megan's word) and your brain doesn't work right until he leaves the room! LOL!! Good news is that Paige is perfectly healthy and unbelievably, she didn't even cry when she got her shot and she never did get a fever so we didn't have to worry about how much Tylenol to give her. Which btw, was .08mg. (haha, guess I was under the influence of "mo-jo")
Well, I've got some cleaning to do and I'd like to get a walk in today, so I guess I'd better get this day started. Love to the G.G.'s. Have a great day!
